Real ancient texts are full of lines that can be read two ways, a worn sign, a word between meanings, and honest scholars who disagree. In our world, those genuine ambiguities become Canon Decisions: when a recovered line survives in more than one reading, the founding players study the marks and seal the one the Chronicle carries forward. Every player after them inherits it.

It shapes how the world is remembered, never the rules of play. No vote changes a puzzle, an ability, or an ending. It changes the telling.
