These are the terms for using the Uruk marketing site and joining the waitlist while the game is in development. This page is a plain-language summary and will be expanded into full legal terms before launch.
The site
The site is informational and pre-launch. Content may change as the game develops.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is an expression of interest. It is not a purchase and not a guarantee of access.
The work
The world, story, characters, and art of Chronicles of Uruk are protected works. Please do not reuse them without permission.
What you send us
When you send us something to be shown, such as a concept video, a written contribution, or a portrait, you keep ownership of it and you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for. A concept video is shown in the community gallery. A contribution is published with a credit. That permission does not end if your account is closed: what you submitted stays published, with your account and your credited name removed from it, because a shared gallery belongs to everyone who reads it and not only to the person who filled in the form. You confirm that what you send is yours to send, and we may decline or remove anything at any time. This section will be expanded and reviewed with counsel before launch.
The Uruk 777
Founder status in the Uruk 777 is earned by playing during the founding window. Reserving a tablet or sharing a referral link does not by itself make you a founder, and referrals never guarantee founder status. If you submit a portrait image, you confirm you have the right to use it and to have it re-rendered in the game’s style; we may decline or remove any image. Founder recognition and community features are provided as is and may change. These terms will be expanded and reviewed with counsel before launch.
