The Founding Expedition

Help decide what the first city is remembered for.

The Chronicle has reopened, and for a short founding window the first players become its Founding Witnesses. Play the pilot free, and help seal the first canon of a world four thousand years in the making.

What the Founding Expedition is

Chronicles of Uruk is a living retelling of Uruk, the powers the old world remembered as the Anunnaki, and the future of humanity. The Founding Expedition is the window at the very start, when the first players shape how that retelling is remembered. Founder status is earned by playing, never bought.

Three ways into the founding

Everyone who comes later inherits the world the earliest players shaped.

The Uruk 777

The first 777 Founding Witnesses. Each carries a permanent Tablet Number. When the 777th tablet is sealed, no one else can ever become one of them.

The First Age

The cohort that follows the 777, who join and play while the founding era is still open. A strong and lasting place in the record.

Everyone after

Later players enter, and inherit, the Chronicle the founders helped decide.

How you become one of the Uruk 777

  1. 1

    Reserve a Founding Tablet

Leave your name to mark a candidate tablet. Reserving marks candidacy; it does not by itself make you a founder.

  2. 2

    Play the pilot

The pilot is free during the founding window, in your browser or on your phone, with nothing to install.

  3. 3

    Complete the Prologue

Finish the opening of the story to be counted among the Uruk 777. Founder status is earned by playing.

What a Founding Witness carries

A permanent number

A Tablet Number recorded in the Hall of Witnesses that can never be claimed again.

A hand in the canon

A voice in the Canon Decisions that settle which readings the Chronicle carries forward.

A place in the Society

A seat in the Chronicle Society, where founders decode fragments and debate what the tablets mean.

A place in the memory

Everyone who plays later enters a world the Uruk 777 helped shape.

Why the first 777 matter

History is not only written by kings. It is written by those who survive long enough to tell the story. Uruk was the first city of kings, but the tablets left gaps: names erased, gates sealed and forgotten, the Anunnaki worn down into myth. Now the Chronicle has reopened, and the first Witnesses will not merely read what was found. They will help decide what is remembered. When the last founding tablet is sealed, the Expedition closes.

What we will and will not promise

The pilot is free to play during the founding window. That is a founding-period condition, not a promise that the game is free forever. We will never invent a release date, a price, or a fake countdown. Reservations are open, and you can be among the first to seal a Founding Tablet.

Founder questions

What are the Uruk 777?
The first 777 Founding Witnesses, whose sealed decisions help set the first canon of the Chronicle. When the 777th tablet is sealed, no one else can become one of them.
How do I qualify?
Reserve a Founding Tablet, play the free pilot, and complete the Prologue during the founding window. Founder status is earned by playing, not by paying.
Is this just a chatbot?
No. The story is hand-authored and the engine holds the truth of it: your choices are real, saved, and replay the same way every time. The model only renders the words.
Are my choices really permanent?
Your choices set your stance, color how the Chronicle is told to you, and carry a cost. The canon a founding cohort seals is inherited by the players who come after.
