Queen of the great earth and mistress of the land of no return: the underworld's lawful ruler, and the elder sister who hangs Inanna on a hook.

In the myths:

queen of the underworld; in the Descent she hangs her sister on a hook and is later moved by the mourners' antiphon to give her back; in the Akkadian Nergal and Ereshkigal she takes Nergal as consort.
